RISE expands work-based learning for students

Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute is expanding work-based learning opportunities for students through a new program in partnership with other local agencies.

The Regional Initiative for Skilled Employment, RISE, is designed to address skill gaps across high-demand industry sectors like health care, manufacturing, hospitality, and trades while simultaneously providing career opportunities for local residents.

It will allow students to gain practical work experience during the school day, earn post-secondary credentials, and receive credit toward graduation, according to Caldwell County Economic Development.
